Hand-written machine code everywhere
Before CELOS the CNC operator‘s main access to the machine
was the HMI user interface of one of the few NC
manufacturers like SIEMENS, HEIDENHAIN, FANUC or
Mitsubishi. The advanced power user of such an UI was
able to read the complex UI with an extreme information
density and understand the machine‘s needs. It would
take him 5 years at least to become a skilled worker, rather
10 in order to be a master in operating such a software.
The idea behind CELOS is to function as layer on top of
the sophisticated HMI which should simplify the operation
especially for the less skilled worker / user. Besides
CELOS functions as an application eco system where external
developers are welcome to develop apps that enhance
the HMI.
